first statement can be false. counselling is done on the basis of cutoff rank range and 7 rounds are conducted and other on spot counselling rounds  also conducted. rank range increases by small fraction in every round.

Both are good institutes For Aerospace Engineering , Lovely Professional University (LPU) and Hindustan University (Chennai) are private universities, but both are different in overall exposure, placements, and reputation.

In my opinion LPU is generally the better option for Aerospace Engineering in terms of placements, infrastructure, and industry exposure.
