Which has more job opportunity Aerospace engineering or aeronautical engineering ?and how much is the basic salary offered?

Shubham Kumar Gupta 27th Aug, 2019
Hello Thanzeem, Greetings!
Let me tell you that both the branches are very good.
So, your choice between branches should depend upon the career foresee yourself.
In aerospace engineering, you learn about professional design, building, testing and maintenance of civil aircrafts, missiles and space shuttles.
Aeronautical engineering is more like specialisation where you learn about designing and testing of aircrafts such as aeroplanes and helicopters.

Also, Aerospace engineers in India are getting an average starting salary of approximately eight lakh per annum.

Hello Disha Mam, Well, there are not many colleges in russia offering a world class aerospace course. There is one good college though. Moscow institute of physics and technology has a very high quality education course and graduate demand. The fee is around 5 lacs per year but you can definitely get a scholarship. In order to get admission there, your daughter will need to take an english proficiency test like TOEFL or IELTS. You can apply and get more info about getting admission in that college through this official link: https://eng.mipt.ru/apply

Has mechanical engineering similarity with aerospace?if I take mechanical in btech and then choose aerospace for mtech, will I face problem?

Priyanshu roy 24th Aug, 2019

Hello Spandan,

Initially during your btech tenure both subjects/branches has a lot of difference. As for mechanical you will learn about machine and its functioning while they will prepare to be specialized in aerodynamics. But when you will take aerospace for mtech than it will be aa great advantage for you being a mechanical student. It will help you to grab the topics easily and some might be related to.But initially it sill differ, but yes being a mechanical student will help you in future if you do masters in aerospace.

Hope it will help

Ritik nakra Student Expert 2nd Oct, 2019
Hey Hannah! Admissions to the B.Tech courses in MGM's Jawaharlal Nehru college Aurangabad are done on the basis of obtained score in Maharashtra Common Entrance Examination MHT-CET or JEE Main examination. You does not have to worry about your 10th standard marks for that. MGM's Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College is an engineering college affiliated to the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere, Maharashtra. It was established in 1982. The school is financed and run by the Mahatma Gandhi Mission. Hope this may help you.

I want aerospace.but im 2year dropper so Ive only option-shivpur.if I cant get it,should I take mechanical as it is similar to aerospace?

athira_1490858591 Student Expert 22nd Aug, 2019

Hi Spandan,

Good to know about your interest in a unique field. However, aerospace engineering is only an upcoming field of engineering and will take time to establish in more universities. If you get it, it's well and good. Otherwise take what you get and then maybe aim for a master's in the aerospace field. You could even try abroad. Mechanical is an interesting branch and you would enjoy it too.

All the best.
