You see India is not such a developed country. Scope in Aerospace engineering is not as much as in CSE or electronic and communication. That's why students don't prefer taking that branch, so it's cut off is bit low.

You can expect an average pay of INR-35,000-40,000/ month in India as an aerospace engineer as in the beginning based on your skillset.. then with time & experience your pay get increase. Hence total Per Annum salary you can expect a pay of INR 4.5-5. Lakhs

Both IITs and IIST are better than most of the colleges including most of the NITs and IISTs. For me IIST is more academic oriented institute in India in comparative to any other colleges whereas IITs as everybody knows best college in India, actually IITs are best not

Yes, definitely you can go for mtech in aerospace. So you can go for it after you qualify in the concerned paper in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). After qualifying GATE, you'll have to apply to institutes, which offer the M. Tech.
