i want to do masters in abroad (usa,Canada, aus) after my bsc agriculture doing ag bsc in ugc or non icar can affect my future studies in abroad

Gaurav Kumar 28th Nov, 2020

hello,

After completing your undergraduation if you want to go for higher education in your field from any of the foriegn countries then you have to give GRE EXAM. GRE is Graduate Record Examination. After giving gre exam you need to apply different universities/institutions globally of your choice according to your gre score card and if you got selected then all the procedures you will have to do accordingly. Also you have to appear in language test like IELETS or TOEFL. Score cards of both of these equally important.

Nothing will affect your future studies because the only crieteria is you have completed your bachlor degree.

hope this will help you

al the best!!!

Hi Aspirant.

It depends on your category and the place you are from. If you are from 1G, 1K, 1R category or even 2A's category then i am sorry with this rank it is not possible to get any seat.

But you can get Food technology or Horticulture or even B.Sc Agriculture under SCG category.

All the best!!

l got 100000 rank and 49000 category obc rank in icar exam can I get seat in ag bsc

Shakti Swarupa Bhanja 21st Nov, 2020

Hello!

There are a total of near about 1500 seats in ICAR for different courses combined. And about 1 lakh AIR and 49k OBC category rank is really high to predict anything. Some ICAR colleges do not have any reserved seats for OBC category too. It is really doubtful that if you would get a seat in BSc Agriculture, Horticulture, fisheries or forestry.

There are total of 1021 seats in agriculture. So, you have negligible chances to get a seat for this course. Chances for courses like sericulture, community science or home science may be there if you have fillled each and every choice for different courses. But we cannot confirm anything for a higher rank like this.

You can check the seat matrix for different courses of ICAR AIEEA UG 2020:-

Best of luck.

Shruti Smaranika 21st Nov, 2020

Hello aspirant,

Being a BiPC student and securing with a rank of 32000 and also you have not mentioned your caste category either, this the following list of categorically cutoff rank range for agriculture-

  • OC: 5784-8525
  • BC-A: 8742-14024
  • BC-B: 8577-14785
  • BC-C: 6719-15421
  • BC-D: 7141-9469
  • BC-E: 9201-20920
  • ST: 9055-20985
  • SC: 12950-20819

So, if we estimate on your performance in the exam and the last year cutoff trend, chances are there you may not be eligible to get a seat in agriculture program. However, it's an assumption. You can give an another try or pursue the desired program in private institutes as well. Whether you pursue in private or government, value remains.

This link will help you to predict the chances of getting a seat in the college according to your rank in AP EAMCET.

college of agriculture dhule, or college of agriculture, nandurbar or college of ag. kolhapur or college of ag. Pune, Maharashtra- which is best??I got seat in mahatma phule krishi vidyapeeth, rahuri through icar .but I am confused which college of this university is best for bsc agriculture

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 29th Dec, 2020

Hey!

As per the reviews, facilities and placement records:

College of agriculture Pune > College of agriculture dhule > college of agriculture Kolhapur > College of agriculture nandurbar

mahatma phule krishi vidyapeeth, rahuri : college offers all the facilities to students such as labs, ground, library etc. faculty members are also knowledgeable. But college has very low placement records specially for BSc in Agriculture . Mostly, students opt for PG courses or MPSC or UPSC. However, some get placed in RFO or AFO as a banking job but with low salary package (as per the reviews).

Thankyou
