Hello Radha, hope you are doing absolutely great.
So as per your query, generally you can change the preferences for any subject before the last date of the application. Then only you will be allotted with subject you preferred. However, you cannot change the preferences after the last date.

Yes, it is approved . It is mandatory for all the Universities/Institutions offering Engineering/Management/Pharmacy education to be approved by the AICTE. You can get jobs whatever you want .

However ugc approved is better than aicte but don't worry you will get jobs
