The basic eligibility criteria for becoming a food scientist is that the candidate must need a bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology or any science related field from a recognized institution. Specific food science related certification are generally not required for a food scientist, but they can help enhance your career once you start working.

Hello Aspirant,

I assume you are inquiring about  KCET 2021  but generally speaking ,a  counselling process is conducted to allot seats in colleges for applicants based on their rank or score. An open round in a counselling process means, everyone from every category can participate, it is open competition . So once you have applied for the same and completed document verification, you have to wait for the counselling commencement date. Based on your rank you will be notified on which date you are supposed to attend the particular round and based on the number of seats available that day and the number of applicants , you will get a seat. The procedure of KCET 2021 counselling will consist of verification of documents, filling of choices, allotment and reporting at institutes. During the counselling of KCET 2021, selected choices of college and courses has to be in order of preference. The authorities will conduct two rounds of KCET 2021 counselling along with a second extended round and special round. Allotment of seats will be done on the basis of KCET merit, preferences and availability of seats. It will be held in both online and offline mode and if you do not complete the counselling process, then you will not be considered for admission.

You can visit the below link for further details about the process:

Hii this is harshika. I belongs to ews category and farmer quota. I got 10364 rank in ap eamcet. Can I have a chance to get govt college and if? Which course is preferable. Can I have a chance to get free govt seat in agriculture course

Shruti Smaranika 25th Dec, 2020

Hello aspirant,

If you're from OC category, then chances of getting a seat in agriculture the government college seems to be low because you did not manage to secure more marks in the entrance exam, despite your quota. However, if you're from BC-B, BC-C, BC-D, BC-E, SC or ST category, then chances of getting agriculture is possible. With that rank, you can pursue horticulture, CABM, food science and fishery. However, it is an estimation based on last year results categorically on various courses and your performance in the exam. So just check the official results to see whether you've managed to pass or not and if you, then you will be eligible for admission.

This link will help you to predict the chances of getting a seat in the college as per your rank-
