Hi Aspirant,
In the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, you need to score at least 30% of the total marks in a written paper to be considered as Pass in that subject. If the subject has Practicals, you need to score at least 30% in the written paper and at least 40% in the practicals.
With that in mind, you need to pass in every paper. If you fail in even one, you will not be considered as Pass.
Hello student
This year due to the pandemic, Tezpur University conducts the admission process based on marks in the qualified examination. The cutoff for selecting the candidates varies depending on the students applied, the marks etc.For more details you can refer the following link
https://www.careers360.com/university/tezpur-university-tezpur/admission
It completely depends on the number of students applying in the college and the percentage they have scored at HSC level. If there are a number students who have scored more than you, you will have the chances of coming in the waiting list. If luckily the number of students applying for the particular course are less and percentage scored by them is less or equivalent to yours, your name might appear in the merit list.
Hope this helps!
All the best!
