AMU is not a very good option for B.tech although its a good college and if we compare it from NITs even lower ones than also they are far better than AMU.So, i would suggest you to go for NITs.

In Aligarh Muslim University entrance exam for engineering, cutoff marks for general catagory is 75 to 80.

Cutoff marks for SC/ST catagory is 70 to 75.

This cutoff matks is determined by studying the no. of students appeared, no. of students qualified, total no. of students, difficulty level
