Is there any registration to be done to get mbbs seat in All India Institute of Medical Sciences before results are announced?

Abhishek Khurana 23rd Sep, 2020

Hello Student

U have a really valid question i think this question has arised due to the fact that there are separate forms for CMC Vellore,IMS BHU,IPU(Indraprasth university) and even AFMC used to have form for admission.

The fact is that aiims is included in neet for the frst time and it has not released any official announcement about any form, so the procedure is gonna be the same as it is  for any other central university which requires you to select the collage at the time of counselling of all india quota ,so you can select aiims which ever you desire at the time of choice filling of all india quota counselling only as aiims are central collages and will not be filled via state quota.

But to tell you the truth these forms are only filled to have a higher chance of getting that collage and does not mean that you will not get these Institute of national importance by not filling the forms ,if you score well you can get admission without those forms

Have a bright career ahead and i pray to god that u will get into your favourite aiims or any other medical collage.

Thank you.

rajaman9300 Student Expert 12th Apr, 2020

It is not only the sates and the cities that matters but also the experience you have, the size and reputation of Hospital in which you are working also matters.

But in general Bengaluru(950000 to Rs. 4300000 Depending upon the experience) , Delhi(500000 to Rs. 2770000) , Pune, Mumbai and some places in UP like Lucknow is highly popular amongst the neurosurgeons.

What should be the qualifications of a Neurosurgeon in India to earn lakhs or crores per month?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 9th Apr, 2020
Raja, the qualification remains the same. Complete MBBS first and then take up MS in Neuro. But what helps you earn more money is your skill and success rate. And also do remember thay every doctor starts with thousands as his/her salary. Thats the minimum a Doctor gets paid. And as he/she puts up experience and starts working in multiple hospitals as a Consultant surgeon, does his income increase. Crores is mere impossible just by being a doctor. It takes years of practise and sticking to reality that patience is the key.

I wish to become a Neurosurgeon, but first I wish to practice in the United States or Singapore for half of my career and to spend last half of my career in India. Whether my wish is a good one? Is it possible? Is my decision is correct? Kindly commend on my wish?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 7th Apr, 2020

Raja, we have been discussing your career and aspirations for a while now and we appreciate that you want to take Career360's opinion on the matter of your career. So by now, you are aware of the fact what it takes to become a neurosurgeon and what it is to clear USMLE, practise as a resident in the US. We also have discussed the life style and the salary part. Now regarding the first half and later half of the career, we only wish we could predict our timeline on this planet. We do not which might be the first half or which might be the later part. But no wish is bad. If you want to achieve something, you should lest you regret for the rest of your lofe. Now to practise in the US, you may have to appear for USMLE, clear the step 1 and then practise as a resident before you can get the license to practise as a full time neurosurgeon. That is a long process that might take good 4-5 years. You study MBBS in India for 50 months and then complete the 1 year rotational internship and it takes you as many as 5 years. And appearing for USMLE and then working as a resident take another 4 years and so 10 years of your life are spent getting a valid license to practise in the US. And then lets say after 5 years you want to move to Singapore, that takes a whole different processing because you need to appear for their license exam. And you work in Singapore for lets say another 5 years and you come back to India. 15 years of your life are spent studying and getting licenses. But the beauty is within 15 years you can actually get license to practise in 3 countries. So you need to take a call. Or how about you finish MBBS in India, move to Singapore to study your MD/MS and plan on moving to the US? That way the transition is going to be smoother.

I wish to become a Neurosurgeon, I predict that I have a career period of 30 years. I wish to practice half career in the countries of the US, Singapore, the UK, Canada, New Zealand, or Australia and I wish to practice last half of my career in India. Is my wish possible? Is my wish a good one?

Manish Singh 2nd Apr, 2020

As long as you have an active medical license in your country that being india yes you can practice medicine anywhere in the world provided that you have some references who can recommend you to the place you want to work at and a good background check. That is the most important thing to consider. And yes your wish can come true if you work hard for it. All the best
