Certainly not. There are other good colleges/universities which offer Bachelor's in economics to those candidates who did not had mathematics as a subject in class 12th. Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi- you will have to appear for the university's entrance test for getting admissions to its BA. Eco degree. Indraprastha University, Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu Unievrsity.

Magalmay group of institutions and amity University both have good infrastructure and other facilities. Facilities are also supportive and knowledgeable. Coming to placements, placement record of mangalmay group of institutions is better than amity university (according to the reviews). Average package provides there is around 5 lakhs per annum. Also, in MMGI around 96-100% get placed whereas in amity university placement opportunities are provided first to those whose academic performance is better (according to the reviews).

See, every other person will have a different opinion o  this as you have mentioned various choice. I am writing down my own, you may disagree with my points but please give it a try once.

If you can get VIT Chennai then please go for it. I know you will say that it is a secondary campus and what about the placement and all.  Let me explain, If you perform well in your college and be in top 10 or 15 then you can surely get placed in any companies as Chennai it a IT hub.

There is no as such entrance test but after you register for a course to the university then you have a small test for English and your subject for which you have applied . It's a MCQ based test . After this you will have a personal interview. All this happens in campus . After this you wait for the result for some days and they either mail you the result or they just call you to tell if selected. I hope this was helpful

Harshit, SOP stands for Statement of Purpose. This is your chance to explain your career goals, ambitions, why you think Amity is the best place for that and why you think you can make it happen in Amity.

• First off, you need to write down what you want to speak. Introduce yourself, where you are from and where you did your highest qualification from. Talk about your hobbies. Talk about your dreams and ambitions and how you want to get there. Then talk a little about why you think Amity can make those dreams come true for you and how you are willing to learn from Amity. (For this, you need to work on learning about the programme, its faculty).
• Once you write down what you want to speak, check for grammatical errors and improvise your work. Time yourself and check the duration of the SOP. Practise as much as you can and bring it down to 4--5 minutes.
• Do not create a video using a selfie stick. Take help from your family and make sure it looks professional. Wear formal clothes because this doesn't call for a T-shirt and shorts occasion.
• Once you record it, check for the quailuty of the video and your speech. Re-record it if you think it doesn't meet your expectations. Eitherways with lockdown you need something to kill your time on. Its much better if it is perfection that you are working on.
• Be focussed. But do not keep looking at the person who is recording you. Look straight into the camera. Make sure the SOP is light and not too boring. It should deliver the content with a hinge of humour.
