Hello, i want to ask about the honest review about btech in aerospace engineering at amity or mtech. Not the ones that are available on internet. I want a review by self experience pls help!!!!!!

kumardurgesh1802 8th Feb, 2025

Hello Palak,

I don’t have personal experiences, but I can provide an honest review based on student feedback, faculty quality, placements, and industry exposure at Amity University for B.Tech/M.Tech in Aerospace Engineering .

Pros:

  1. Decent Infrastructure – Well-equipped labs and research facilities for aerodynamics, propulsion, and materials.

  2. Good Faculty (Mixed Reviews) – Some experienced professors, but many are from general engineering backgrounds, not specialized in aerospace.

  3. Flexible Curriculum – Industry-oriented subjects and electives help in career development.

  4. Industry Tie-ups – Collaborations with ISRO, DRDO, and private aerospace companies like Boeing for projects.

    Cons:

  5. Placement Issues – Aerospace jobs are very limited . Most students switch to IT or general engineering roles due to fewer core job opportunities.

  6. High Fees (Rs. 3-4 LPA) – The return on investment (ROI) is low unless you secure an off-campus job.

  7. Lack of Hardcore Research – Not as strong as IITs or specialized institutes like IIST in terms of research in propulsion, avionics, or space tech .

  8. More Theoretical, Less Practical Exposure – You may need to do internships outside to gain hands-on experience.

    Verdict:
  • If you want to stay in India and work in aerospace , consider IIST, IITs, MIT Manipal, or UPES instead.

  • If you want a private university with decent exposure , Amity is fine , but you must plan for higher studies (M.Tech/MS abroad) or transition into software/IT for better opportunities.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Prachi Kumari 7th Dec, 2024

Hello,

Here are some points to consider when deciding whether to continue your BCom LLB or drop out:

  1. Evaluate Your Interest : Assess if you are genuinely passionate about law and commerce. If your interest remains strong, it may be worth continuing despite setbacks.

  2. Academic Challenges : Failing or being debarred can be a tough experience. Reflect on whether you can improve your study habits, time management, and commitment to overcoming academic difficulties.

  3. Opportunities in Law : A BCom LLB opens doors in various fields like corporate law, taxation, and finance. Consider the career opportunities it offers in the long run.

  4. Support System : Seek advice from professors, mentors, or family. They can provide guidance on how to improve academically and manage your stress.

  5. Personal Growth : Dropping out now might bring temporary relief, but completing the course will help you develop resilience and discipline.

Ultimately, it's about balancing your goals, passion, and personal circumstances.

Can I get admission in amity ranchi with my 12 marks 59.8% ?? Can they selecte me if I have so many certificates won alsoo????

Prachi Kumari 13th Nov, 2024

Hello,

Yes, with a 59.8% in your 12th grade, you may still have a chance to get admission at Amity University, Ranchi, although it depends on specific program requirements and additional factors. Here’s how you can improve your chances:

  1. Check Program Requirements: Some programs may have a minimum eligibility of 60% or more. However, for certain courses, Amity offers flexibility on eligibility requirements, so it’s best to verify with the admissions office.
  2. Leverage Certificates and Achievements: Highlighting your certificates and achievements in extracurricular activities, sports, or academics can strengthen your profile and demonstrate a well-rounded personality, which universities appreciate.
  3. Attend Personal Interview: Many times, Amity considers a candidate's potential through interviews. Impressing during this stage can help compensate for slightly lower academic marks.
  4. Prepare a Strong SOP: Write a compelling Statement of Purpose (SOP) that emphasizes your achievements, goals, and reasons for choosing Amity, showcasing your strengths beyond academics.

In summary, your certificates and a strong personal profile could positively influence admission decisions, especially if you meet or closely approach the eligibility criteria.
