As per your rank that is 9.5 k in AEEE 2020, so for computer science the closing rank is 2100. If you belong from state quota you are eligible for CSE branch.

For SC /ST Category (Open and State Quota)

For General Category (Open and State Quota)

Opening rank:  1 – 750; Closing rank:  9501 – 10000

For State quota

Congratulations Brother you assume that you are already in A.E.E.E Coimbatore. This is not my prediction but I am saying everything with logic and proof. According to last year's i.e . 2019 results analysis the Last rank for E.C.E. for State quota was 19,969 and for open quota it was 6,991. You will be getting State quota hence you will be getting E.C.E. in Coimbatore campus.

Well, it is quite difficult to predict your rank and the seat which will you get. As, now the criteria of ranking has been changed, earlier it was based on aeee exam or jee mains but now it is 60% weightage to aeee and 40% weightage to 10+2 marks. But 120 out of 180 is really a good score, so possibly you will get your seat. But nothing can be said as final,you need to wait until the counseling procedure starts.

A pass in 10 + 2 (Class XII) or its equivalent examination with minimum 60% aggregate of marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and with not less than 55% individually in each of these three subjects.

Also, if you are student of Tamilnadu then you can get in with 1500 rank or if you are from any other state then you must have 600 rank in AEEE (as per previous years records)

I will give you a brief description of both the institutes so that you can decide which one is better accordinng to you.

As for Amrita Coimbatore- About 95% of the students get  placed one year but the this year the placements were not that much due to covid. The top salary package offered was 10 LPA while lowest was 2.5 LPA.Execpt for teh wifi and the food served in the hostel everything about the infrastructure is good.The curriculum is on point and the faculty is good too (highly knowledgeable).

Now for Jain University, the highest salary package offered in this (2020) year to the CSE specialisation in AI was 30 LPA. The college helps students to get prepared for placements and also helps them in entrepreneurships. The infrasyructure is great (better than Amrita)  and the faculty members of the CSE branch are good and very co-operative.

I suggest you to do a more thorough research by contacting students from these colleges before you tak ethe final decision. All the best!

Hello student. We cannot predict the rank based on marks as it varies with number of students attendend the test and everything. But I can tell you this. If you are state quota( belong to tamilnadu) then you might be able to get cse in coimbatore. But if you fall under AIR, then chances are very kess to get cse over there. You can try for bangalore or kerala branch.

Based on ranking in the amrita entrance exam, they give scholarship. Totally about 230 scholarships are given ( 10% of total seats). scholarships amounts are : 25% , 50% and 90% of tuition fees. For less than 1000 ranks students may get 90% scholarship. Upto 2000 , possibility for 50% scholarships . Upto 4000, possibility for 25% scholarships. Scholarships are evenly spread to all branches based on the quantum of intake. For example the popular branches like CSE and ECE, better ranking students shall opt for it and hence during counselling scholarships may be finished for even for ranks lesser than 1000. Not so popular branches such as aeronautical, scholarships may be available for even for ranking above 6000 also.

See both are good. However most students prefer SRM Unversity. Basically the learning especially in CS is more on you. The college will teach what is in the curriculum. My advice woould be to check the curriculum and then check the college reviews. Alumni of the college are the best people to tell the reality.

However, the college will teach the curriculum. You have to learn the extras that are required to get the edge over the others. For that you should check job profiles, talk to seniors and then learn whatever language, technology is required to have the expertise that is needed.
