Amrita University
Hello,
Amrita University is one of the most growing institutions and this is due to high quality education system and placements opportunities. There are a large number of companies that visit Amrita University and offer great placement packages which is why it is the top choice of a lot of students.
Let's talk about the rules that you have read and whether or not they are true:
1) Uniform is Compulsory: Yes! Uniform is a compulsory rule for all the undergraduate programme students. You will need to wear it till ypur final year. However, it is not compulsory for students doing their post graduation
2) Only 2 gate passes a month: Sadly, this is true. You only get 2 gate passes a month and the warden is really strict about it. However, the gate pass increases in the second and the third year but it might still depend on the warden.
3) Cant use phones inside the campus: Not at all true. You can use your mobile within the campus and there are no restrictions against it as long as it is not a distraction for the teacher.
4) Intermingling of boys and girls is not allowed: Completely false. There is such restriction or rule. The boys and girls can talk and sit together and there is no objection of any kind regarding this.
I hope this helps,
All the best
Hi,
You have been allotted to the college if you have paid the provisional fees. They might have send you the final confirmation after all the rounds of counselling are over. Although I do suggest you call them and ask them about the same.
All the best!
Hi
It will depend on College policy. Usually if you have paid and amount for admission and you wanted to go for another college, your money will be returned. But 10 percentage will be deducted. the Amrita Counselling fee won't be refunded in case you decide to not join the institute and leave your seat. You will lose your registration fee that you paid for the counselling. The entire academic fee after deducting the counseling processing fee of Rs. 5000/- will be refunded. The entire academic fee after deducting 10% will be refunded. You can contact the authority for details.
Thank you
Dear aspirant,
It is quite hard to predict the exact situation as it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, the difficulty level of the paper and the preferences of the students.
CSE is one of the most competitive branches on Amrita.
Looking at the previous year trends we can say that it is slightly difficult for you to get CSE in Coimbatore or Amritapuri campus . You might need a rank of around 6 K to get admission into the colleges of your choice.
You have a good chance of getting any of the three campuses if you have state quota .
Otherwise, you have a really good chance of getting ECE, Electrical and other core courses in these colleges.
Please check the link below for more cut-off details.
AEEE Cut-off
Dear Aspirant,
It is quite hard to predict the exact situation as it depends on the number of students attempting the exam and the preferences of the students.
Amrita only reserves 30 percentage of the seats for the JEE Main stream and hence it is quite competitive.
For getting into Coimbatore campus you'll need 97 + percentile and for Amritapuri or Bangalore campus also you'll need 95 + percentile.
Not just Amrita it is quite difficult to get into any top private colleges with this percentile as the competition for CSE is quite high. A safe score is a percentile of 85 and above.
So, please keep other options open.
Yet, Amrita does not release any official cutoffs and hence the predictions are based on what the students have today.
Hope this helps.
