AMRITA OR PSG WHICH IS BEST IN COIMBATORE ????

ayanmukherjee045 21st Dec, 2020

Dear aspirant,

According to your question and taking into consideration that you want to know about the comparison between these two colleges which amrita and PSG in Coimbatore.

I would like to recommend undoubtedly psg Coimbatore as this college has a brand name all over the country whereas amrita doesn't have this brand name. Many people from north side doesn't even know the name of this college.

Coming to the college placements,PSG Coimbatore has shown impressive median package than amrita.

You can check out PSG College by checking out this link.

Hello aspirant,

based on previous year's cutoffs, and with your OBC category, you might get into Amrita University. But since you haven't mentioned your OBC rank, here are the list of colleges that you might get in, based on your CRL:

  1. NIT Agartala
  2. NIT Srinagar
  3. NIT Hamirpur
  4. NIT Meghalaya
  5. NIT Sikkim
  6. NIT Arunachal Pradesh

Which College is better Amrita University,Coimbatore or Vit Vellore?

Palak kumari 29th Sep, 2020

Hey aspirant,

Firstly colleges are selected on the basis of your own priorities so do that and now let's distinguish between both the colleges on various points:-

Infrastructure-both the universities are beautifully made so no competition in that.

Popularity-vit is one of the best private university in India and since its an old university so it's well known amongst students and parents. Amrita is also well known and popular amonst everyone.

College life-if you want to enjoy your college life with your friends and want to spent your weekends outside in cafe along with your studiesor something then VIT is really good for you. But if you want to do the same in amrita then you won't be able to as it's really strict and for weekends you'll have to follow many rules. First you'll have to take permission from your parents the  your parents will have to talk to the warden and then the warden will sign a pass for you and then you can go.

Placement-highest package offered by VIT is 41.6lpa and average is 7.6 lpa. Whereas in amrita the highest package offered is 43lpa and average is 5lpa.

So according to your priorities you can now select your Preferable college.

Hope it helps

Good luck.

Shoaib Akhtar 23rd Sep, 2020

hello there

you can change your branch only after second semester .for that you have to fill the application form provided by the college .first you must have high cgpa ,about 8+ cgpa  and second there must be any vacancy .if the vacancy is less then the best cgpa holders will get the preference .

Ive secured 8510 rank in AEEE for the Bangalore campus ECE branch in amrita college. Will I get any Scholarship for this rank??

Samarth Laghate 19th Sep, 2020

Hello aspirant,

Congratulations for getting good rank AEEE2020. The rank you get in AEEE is good with this rank you have possibilities of get admission in Amrita university Bangalore campus for ECE. But as year to year cut off changes so you should also prepare plan B for the condition if unfortunately you will not get admission .

You should also go with the last year cut offs that will help you in planning accordingly. The link for last year cut offs is given below.

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/aeee-cutoff

As per your question is about the scholarship but sorry to say but with the rank you have there are very very less possibilities of getting scholarship. As the scholarship is allotted for very few seats that is only 108 seats of Bangalore campus are allotted for scholarship so the cut off rank for it is very high. You should also go with below link in which all details about fee structure and scholarship is given.

Best of luck.

I get 18709 rank in AEEE can I get a seat in Amrita University Coimbatore campus for Aerospace Engineering. Im from Tamil Nadu

S. Saha Student Expert 7th Sep, 2020
Congratulations for your result. Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore campus is one of the best campuses so the cutoffs are quite higher than other two. But as you belong to TamilNadu so you can avail the State quota. For State quota candidates, the cutoffs are low compared to Open quota candidates. If we go through the cutoffs of last few years' then the closing rank for Aerospace Engineering in Coimbatore campus lies around 19000 rank for Home State quota candidates. So it seems you have quite fair chances of getting aerospace Engineering  there. Other branches you can get in Coimbatore campus are Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics engineering, Instrumentation Engineering etc. However this is based on previous years' data and this year the cutoffs might change. You can check the cutoffs here http://engineering.careers360.com/articles/aeee-cutoff
