I want to know about the RCC radiation physics entrance exam?.. It takes only basic questions or includes more of the MSc Physics syllabus?... When it comes to chemistry and human anatomy, what aspects tend to capture our attention the most?

gopi 7th Aug, 2025

Hello Nandana,

The RCC (Regional Cancer Centre) Radiation Physics entrance exam will assess your understanding of basic concepts in Physics, especially in terms of the significance of radiation and nuclear concepts in physics. The exam will not be reflective of the entire MSc Physics syllabus in detail. You need a solid understanding of basic topics you learned in BSc Physics like Modern Physics, Nuclear Physics, Electric and Magnetic Phenomena, and Mathematical Physics. The questions will mainly be conceptual and application-based and not too theoretical. In terms of Chemistry and Human Anatomy, expect questions on:

  • Basic Radiation Chemistry: This includes a discussion of the interaction of radiation with matter, free radicals, and reactions relevant to dosimetry.
  • Human Anatomy and Physiology: You should focus on systems related to the adverse effects of radiation (i.e., skeletal, reproductive, neural systems) and basic cell biology.

In summary, expect a balance in questions across Physics (70-80%) with some Chemistry and Biology (20-30%) - but always framed in terms of their applications as relates to medical and radiation physics applications.

I am actually a mbbs student failed in anatomy subject 4 times.according to recent NMC guidlines my admission will be cancelled.then what is my future? I want to pursue mbbs only .can I have a chance to write neet again and get into medical college.

sadafreen356 22nd Dec, 2024

According to recent NMC guidelines, if you fail a subject like Anatomy four times during your MBBS, your admission could be cancelled, meaning you can no longer continue with your current MBBS program. However, you do still have the option to retake the NEET exam and gain admission into a medical college again if you are determined to pursue MBBS.

The NMC has set a limit on the number of attempts allowed for the first year MBBS exams, typically restricting students to four attempts. Once you reach this limit, your admission may be cancelled.

If you decide to retake NEET, begin studying immediately, focusing on a comprehensive review of the syllabus, particularly the anatomy section.

You can Consider joining coaching classes or seeking mentorship from experienced medical professionals to optimize your preparation strategy.

All the best for your future endeavours!!
