I got 981 marks in intermediate Andhra pradesh board exam and I got 85 percentile in jee mains Can I get seat in sastra university for IT (information technology) course. please say

Sanjana 10th Feb, 2025

Hello,

To determine your eligibility under Stream 1, you would need to know your actual JEE Main score (not percentile), as the combined score calculation requires it. Without this, it's challenging to compute your exact SASTRA Rank for Stream 1.

For Stream 2, with a 98.1% in your Class 12 exams, your normalized score would depend on the highest score in your board. If we assume the highest is 1000, your normalized score remains 98.1%. Admission under Stream 2 is based on the merit list derived from these normalized scores.

I got 971 marks in AP intermediate board examinations and 92 percentile in jee mains.please give me the exact answer if I will get seat in SASTRA UNIVERSITY (CSE )

Vishwathiga J 17th Jul, 2022

Dear aspirant,

It is hard to predict if you'll get CSE or not as it heavily depends on the students applying and what their preferences are. Looking at the previous year trends we can say that you'll need 975+ to get CSE  but you have a really good percentile in JEE which accounts for 25 percent, so all I can say is that you have a really good chance of getting into SASTRA but CSE might be slightly difficult. If you are truly passionate about CSE, it is better to keep other options open.

will the marks take inte consideration of 1st year marks to this year 2nd year students in marks sheet ?

Lisa 24th May, 2022

usually in all colleges, the first year mars are not considered in the 2nd year. each year is a different component and the marks are separately calculated for each of them. the aggregate score or any kind of linkage between the mark cards is not present. the subjects are mostly different as compared ot the different years' syllabuses and thus there is no question of carry over marks
