There are 3types of reservation or quota there are category, local and non farmer quota Or farmer quota.

Farmer quota has better chances of getting seat than non farmer quota. If your are eligible for farmer quota you can apply through farmer quota.

With your rank getting a seat in BVSc. is quite difficult. As last year the cutoff for OC category for BVSc female cutoff was around 3200. Whatever getting BSc. in agriculture or Horticulture is possible as for both of these cutoff remains within 6000. No need to worry

If it is mentioned as (local rank + category) rank, then it means BC-B + Local rank. BC-B may come under the same backward class, but it consists of different sub castes.
