WHILE FILLING THE DETAILS FOR APLAWCET, THEY ARE ASKING TO MENTION QUALIFYING EXAM HAL TICKET NUMBER. WHAT DOES IT ACTUALLY MEAN? WHICH NUMBER I HAD TO MENTION?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 25th Jul, 2021

Hello,

Qualifying exam is the minimum Education qualification that a candidate must posses in order to be eligible to get admission in a course. The qualifying examination for 5 year Integrated LLB course is 10+2 that means you must have passed 10+2 with requisite percentage of marks from a recognized board. 10+2 becomes the qualifying examination. SO you have to enter the hall ticker number of class 12th examination. If it is 3 year LLB course then the minimum Education qualification requirement is Bachelor's Degree so if you are applying for 3 year LLB course then you must have passed Bachelor's Degree after 10+2 with requisite marks, And you have to enter the hall ticket number of Bachelor's Degree Examination. If it is for 2 year LLM course then the minimum education Qualification requirement is 3 year LLB or 5 year integrated LLB. If you are applying for 2 year LLM then you need to enter the hall ticket number of 3 year LLB or 5 year Integrated LLB examination hall ticket number.

Can we write CLAT and AP LAWCET in the same year ?

pdwords Student Expert 19th Jul, 2021

Hello,

From your profile it seems you're a law aspirant in 11th standard, to provide you a brief information about law courses, basically there are two types of courses one that is done after 12th standard educational qualification which is integrated law, that means law is combined with other relevant discipline such as arts in BA-LLB, commerce in BCom-LLB, management studies in BBA-LLB to name a few, on the other hand there is also three years law course named LLB for which a candidate need to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university to pursue this course.

CLAT is conducted for admission to various integrated law courses such aas BA-LLB/BCom-LLB/BBA-LLB to name a few, its scores are accepted by various government and private colleges all over India apart from the prestigious NLUs which are premier educational law universities, the eligibility criteria to appear for CLAT is passed/appearing 10+2 from a recognized board securing 45% aggregate, in case of reserved categories there is relaxation of 5%, explore more detailed information about CLAT at https://law.careers360.com/exams/clat

also, remember that CLAT is not conducted for three years LLB admission, it's only meant for five year duration integrated course, many aspirant get  confused regarding this matter.

on the other hand AP LAWCET is a state level exam law exam which is conducted for both five  years as well as three years law courses, the eligibility criteria for the former is same as that of CLAT that is passed/appearing 10+2 from a recognized board securing 45% aggregate, for SC/ST it's 40% and in case of OBC it's 42%, check out our page at https://law.careers360.com/articles/ap-lawcet to know more details regarding this.

Now, coming to your question yes, you can appear for CLAT/AP LAWCET or any other law exam simultaneously, there is no such restriction regarding the same, you should be well acquainted with the exam pattern, syllabus, go through previous year paper to understand where you stand in terms of preparation level, what are the areas that are required to work upon etc.

which course is best for law in intermediate 1st year

Sai Kiran K 20th Jul, 2021

Hi Aspirant,

The minimum eligibility criteria to do law course is 10+2. You can complete your 10+2 in any stream and then give CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) exam. Its an entrance exam for law to get into National universities. Few universities offer 5 years law course after pass 12th but they have their own entrance exams apart from CLAT. Basically any law course is of 3 years duration.

So finish of your 10+2 with 55% Minimum aggregate (45% in case of SC and ST category). You can refer to the link below for Law course after 10+2.
