Prachi Kumari 29th Jul, 2024

Hey,

Congratulations on your rank and GPAT score!

With a rank of 400 in AP PGECET and a GPAT score of 83%, you have a good chance of securing a seat in an M.Pharmacy program, especially at institutions like SV University (Sri Venkateswara University).

Here’s how your chances look:

  1. AP PGECET Rank : A rank of 400 is generally considered competitive. SV University typically admits students based on their ranks in AP PGECET, so you should check their specific cut-off ranks from previous years to get a better idea.

  2. GPAT Score : An 83% in GPAT is quite strong and can enhance your chances significantly. Some universities and colleges consider GPAT scores for admission or as a part of the selection criteria, and having a good GPAT score can make you a preferred candidate.

Action Steps :

  • Check SV University’s Admission Criteria : Look at their specific requirements for the M.Pharmacy program. They may have a combination of AP PGECET rank and GPAT score requirements.
  • Contact the University : Reach out to SV University’s admissions office for the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding cut-offs and eligibility.
  • Consider Other Options : While SV University is a good choice, also consider other institutions where your rank and GPAT score might be competitive.

Good luck with your admissions process!

direct admissions are possible?

Radhika Goyal 28th Oct, 2024

Hy,

Yes, direct admissions are often possible in many colleges and universities, especially for certain programs. Here’s an overview of how direct admissions typically work, along with important considerations:

What is Direct Admission?

Direct admission refers to the process of securing a seat in a college or university without going through a competitive entrance exam or lengthy selection process. This is common in various undergraduate programs, particularly in private institutions and some public colleges.

How Direct Admissions Work

  1. Eligibility Criteria:

    • Colleges usually have specific eligibility criteria for direct admissions, such as minimum percentage requirements in Class 12 or other qualifying examinations.
  2. Application Process:

    • Application Form: Students must fill out the college's application form, which can often be found online.
    • Documents Required: Along with the application form, students typically need to submit documents like mark sheets, identity proof, and photographs.
  3. Admission Fees:

    • Some colleges may charge an application fee or a higher tuition fee for direct admissions compared to those who are admitted through entrance exams.
  4. Management Quota:

    • In many private colleges, a certain percentage of seats are reserved under the management quota, which allows for direct admission. This may come with higher fees.
  5. No Entrance Exam Required:

    • In direct admissions, students are not required to take entrance exams. Their eligibility is usually determined based on their academic performance in previous qualifications.

Where Direct Admissions are Common

  • Private Colleges: Many private institutions offer direct admission, particularly in fields like Business Administration, Hotel Management, and Engineering.
  • Self-Financed Courses: Programs that require higher tuition fees often allow direct admissions.
  • Institutes with No Entrance Exam: Some colleges or universities do not conduct entrance exams for specific programs.

Important Considerations

  1. Research the College: Make sure to check the reputation and accreditation of the college before seeking direct admission.
  2. Check for Additional Costs: Understand the fee structure, as direct admissions, especially through management quota, can be more expensive.
  3. Limited Seats: Direct admissions might have a limited number of seats, so it’s essential to apply early.
  4. Consult the Admissions Office: If you're unsure about the direct admission process for a specific college, reach out to their admissions office for detailed information.

i got 35 marks in ap pgecet .can iget a free seat in any government university

kumardurgesh1802 26th Sep, 2024

Hello student,

With 35 marks in AP PGECET, it might be a bit challenging to secure a free seat in a prestigious government university , as the competition is typically fierce. Government universities usually have strict cutoffs, and higher scores often take precedence. However, there's always hope, especially depending on the category you belong to and the specific stream you're aiming for.

I highly recommend keeping an eye on the official counseling process . Sometimes, depending on the availability of seats and reservation policies, you might still have a chance.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Do i need to get principal signature on appgecet application form?

Nitin Kumar 29th May, 2024

The requirement for a principal's signature on the APPGECET application form may vary slightly depending on the specific year and official guidelines.  The most reliable source for application form requirements is the official website of APPGECET. Look for sections on "Application Process" or "Important Dates & Instructions". The website should clearly state whether a principal's signature is mandatory.  If the website information is unclear, consider contacting the APPGECET helpline number (if available) and inquire about the signature requirement.

While not a definitive answer, in many entrance exams, a principal's signature on the application form is not mandatory. However, it can sometimes be considered a "good practice" to ensure the authenticity of the application.

I am applying for ap pgecet. I am from AP, but completed my BE in karnataka. so I came under non local category. Is there any possibility to get local status? If I give my intermediate hall tkt number as qualifying exam hall ticket instead of my btech hall tkt number, will I get local status?

Nitin Kumar 13th May, 2024

No, Filling your intermediate hall ticket number instead of your BTech hall ticket number will not grant you local status for AP PGECET. Local status is determined based on domicile requirements, not the location of your qualifying exam.

  • Local status in AP PGECET is based on the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974. This order specifies criteria for residency in the state.
  • Completing your BE in Karnataka breaks the continuity of residence required for local status.
