I am from Maharashtra.Can non-AP residents appear for AP-PGECET?What is the procedure?

hi,

sorry to say non ap candidates are not eligible to participate in appgecet exam, 85% of seats are reserve for local candidates, and remaining 15% of seat are unreserved. however the candidates who meets the below criteria is eligible to admission in remaining 15% seat in appgecet exam

All the candidates eligible to be declared as local candidates.

Candidates who have resided in the State of andhrapradesh for a total period of 10 years excluding periods of study outside the State or either of whose parents have resided in the State for a total period of 10 years excluding period of employment outside the State.

Candidates who are children of parents who are in the employment of this State or Central government, pscs , Local Bodies, Universities and other similar public Institutions, within the State.

Candidates who are spouses of those who are in the employment of the State or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities and Educational Institutions recognized by the Government or University OR other competent authority and similar quasi Government Institutions within the State.

you should follow the prescribed books by the AP PGECET. Study materials is hard to get. i would suggest you to search in your browser. There are private webpages who provides study material for different branch like manabadi webpage

You can also get previous year paper to solve it yourself and know how questions are asked. You can also appear mock test which is available in the official webpage of AP PGECET @ https://sche.ap.gov.in/pgecet/PGECET/PGECET_HomePage.aspx

see cutoff score changes every year and it depends on students performance, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, etc, however at this score you have very less chances in andhra university, I suggest you to apply for appgecet exam or other mtech exams like bits hd, vitmee also.

I have secured a rank of 4250 in EE. I would like to join in mtech course in au. whats the procedure to be followed in order to get into au. And should i need to apply for APPGECET??

With this rank you can easily get AU, Vizag, There is no need to give APPGECET as AU accepts GATE score.

But i would suggest to you to try for some NIT's as with this rank you can get a NIT.

I am not saying that AU is bad but still doing Mtech from any Universities other than IIT's or the top NIt's is just a piece of paper.

sir i have qualified in gate 2020, i am willing to join in M.Tech through AP PGECET. Should i need to apply for appgecet (march) or should i directly register for councelling (july) ????

see candidates who have valid gate score need not to participate in appgecet exam, you can directly apply for counselling process when it starts, generally it held on month of june.

however if you want to apply for appgecet exam, you may also apply,

Hi there,

Congratulations for qualifying gate.

Now to take admission in any college to pursue M. tech you need to fill the counselling forms of the colleges and wait for the joining date. The college will depend on your rank in GATE exam.

EWS reservation is applicable across all Academic and Employment pursuits. If you belong to general category and your family income from all sources is less than 8 lakhs per annum, and other criteria are there also. If you fulfill all the criteria then you can avail EWS reservation.

No , you are not eligible for AP PGECET dear

This is because as per domicile criteria of AP PGECET , to be eligible you must be must be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana .

Now that you are from bihar , you fail to fulfil the domicile criteria and thus you are not eligible fo AP PGECET examination
