my rank is 61000 under SC category in neet pg...will I get DNB or MD anesthesia

Md Qutubuddin Ansari 29th Sep, 2021

Hello,

I hope you are doing fine,

Since your rank is 61000, chances would be less even with your category rank to get admission for Anaesthesiology  through DNB CET Counselling. You can get a seat for DNB Microbiology in Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, College of Medicine and JNM Hospital.

Check your other admission chances using the DNB CET College Predictor Tool and also your admission chances through NEET PG Counselling using the NEET PG College Predictor tool

I hope you find this information helpful. I wish you all the best for your future.

Good Luck

After completing bsc anesthesia can i become as anesthesiologist or should i have to work as only assistant for anesthesiologist

DrTeeth 27th Sep, 2021

Hi. In order to become an anesthesiologist, you will first have to complete 5.5 years of MBBS after you clear NEET-UG. After this (and  successfully passing NEXT), you will have to appear for NEET-PG examination. Once you are through with that and get a post graduate seat in anesthesiology, only then can you become an anesthesiologist.

When you pursue BSc Anesthesia, you will have the following career options:

  • Anaesthesia Technician
  • Medical Consultant
  • Clinical Associate
  • Certified Registered Nurse Anaesthetist
  • Anaesthesiologist Assistant

which is better diploma anesthesia Or bsc anesthesia?

Abhishek Roy 27th Sep, 2021

I would advise you to go for BSc in Anaesthesia, rather than the Diploma. BSc Anaesthesia will give you better scope and prospects in the ParaMedical sector, Hospitals and Healthcare Facilities. Today even Colleges like AIIMS Rishikesh have started courses on BSc Anaesthesia Technology.
