With 42% marks, 121 in English, and 91 in General Aptitude via CUET UG, getting admission to central universities like Punjab, Kashmir, NEHU, or Guru Ghasidas is difficult, as most require higher scores. You may try for less competitive courses or private/state colleges.

I scored 648 in cuet nd I wanna do BBA specialisation in marketing / business analytics I come from st category , will I get admission or is it hard according to cut off?? I scored low in general aptitude test but I score 208 out of 500 in english and gat cuet exam. Is it possible to get into davv?

tanvi bansal 11th Jul, 2025

Dear Aspirant,

Based on your CUET score of 648 and a combined 208 out of 500 in English and General Aptitude (GAT), you do have a fair chance of getting admission to the BBA program at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), especially under the ST category. While the exact ST cutoff for this year is yet to be released, previous trends suggest that ST category cutoffs are generally lower than those for the General category, which typically range between 330 to 410 marks. This means the ST cutoff may fall somewhere around 280 to 360 marks out of 500 in English and GAT combined, giving you a possible edge despite your lower GAT score. However, admission will ultimately depend on this year’s competition and seat availability. It’s important to keep track of DAVV's official counselling schedule, likely to begin in late July, and participate in the process with all your required documents, including your CUET scorecard, caste certificate, and academic qualifications. Even if your score is slightly below the expected cutoff for BBA (Marketing or Business Analytics), you should still attend counselling, as reserved category seats may open up.

Best of Luck.

Somebody Got 96 percentile in English and 86 percentile in aptitude in CUET He wanted to get admission in top BBA colleges in India

Rupsa Banerjee 9th Jul, 2025

Hey,

96 percentile in English is a very good score, suggesting strong language skills, which is often a key requirement for BBA admission and 86 percentile in aptitude in CUET indicates a good grasp of general aptitude, which is also a crucial component of BBA admissions. So it's overall a very strong score potentially opening the doors of top BBA colleges in India. But the specific colleges will depend on the individual university's cut-offs and admission criteria. If you have not prepared for CAT 2025 and OMET 2025 and your English speaking and writing are weak then you still have time to improve for 2026 exams first you should start with basic English grammar and vocabulary then daily read English newspapers or books and try to write small paragraphs on simple topics also start watching English videos or news with subtitles to improve speaking take free online courses for CAT and OMET preparation or join coaching from July onwards plan a daily schedule that includes English practice and mock tests if you start now with focus and regular effort you can be ready for CAT and OMET 2026 and improve your English communication too
