Question : Which of the following was not a part of a citadel in Harappan architecture?

Option 1: Storehouses for grains

Option 2: Great Bath for important people

Option 3: Fire altars for religious ceremonies

Option 4: Residential buildings for masses

Team Careers360 15th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: Residential buildings for masses

Solution : The correct option is Residential buildings for the masses.

In Harappan architecture, residential buildings for the masses were typically not a part of the citadel. The citadel primarily housed elite structures such as administrative buildings, ceremonial centres, and possibly palaces. Residential areas for the general populace were usually outside the lower town's citadel walls. The citadel focused on governance, religion, and defence rather than mass housing.

R V College of architecture bengaluru - How is the college for doing B.Arch

Ishan Katoch 14th Jan, 2024

Hi !

More information available here:

https://www.careers360.com/colleges/rv-college-of-architecture-bangalore/reviews

One of the review says:

Placements: Our college offered great placements in various companies and roles. Placements are offered across the world. Students get to explore more with these placements and are more experienced about their upcoming lives and careers. This experience gives a great sense to build their careers.

Infrastructure: The college has a great atmosphere, along with Wi-Fi, classrooms, library, canteen and hostel. The hostel rooms are pretty average, but there is good food in the canteen with various dishes every day. Medical checkups are provided weekly once. There is a play area for sports and games, but the bathroom facilities aren't very great.

Faculty: Few teachers are helpful and knowledgeable, while few aren't up to the standard of teaching. The teaching quality is average. The exams are pretty average and not very hard nor not very easy. I wished there were more teachers and more interactive sessions were conducted. Exams also should be made less stressful and mainly assignments.

Other: This college has B.Arch for 5 years, and I chose this course because I have always fancied studying architecture. I got admission to one of the top colleges of architecture in Bangalore, i.e., RV College of Architecture.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Ishan

after diploma in architecture we can do interior design degree course?

Sajal Trivedi 27th Aug, 2023

Hello aspirant,

Yes, you can follow a degree programme in interior design after earning your architecture diploma. A background in architecture can help one grasp structural aspects and spatial design. Many universities and colleges offer bachelor's degree programmes in interior design. However, particular needs could differ depending on the school, so it's a good idea to check and double-check the requirements for the interior design degree programme you're interested in.
