i am currently pursuing B.Tech in civil engineering and i want to study about building design and planning. so can i do Masters in architecture through Gate? or is there any other way to pursue my study.

KUNAL KUMAR 28th Aug, 2022

Dear Aspirant,

After B.Tech in Civil Engineering, you can pursue a post-graduate course in Architecture i.e. M.Tech in Architecture. There are various higher study options for graduates after completing their bachelor-level education in architecture. These candidates should qualify Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) to apply for higher study in design. Another option for higher studies is a Master’s degree in Architecture.

Hope this was helpful.

can i get into brick college architecture nata score 130 in boards 90.2

Upasana Barman 22nd Aug, 2022

hello,

The cut offs required varies every year according to certain factors that are taken into consideration every time. Some of the factors include the number of candidates that appeared in the exam, the difficulty level of the exam etc. The cut offs for Brick's College usually are somewhere around 140 to 160 and if we look into the cut offs of 2020-21 it was around 160 to 165. However there are certain other factors like eligibility and reservation category that matters Eg: The eligibility for B.Arch is aggregate of 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in your 12th boards. However 130 seems like good marks and hence you have high chances to get into good colleges.

I scored 96% in 12th and scored 130 in NATA . I am from Hyderabad. what chances do I stand to get admission for BArch in JJ school of Architecture

sksatyam043 18th Aug, 2022

Hello,

You have a good percentage in 12th. You NATA score are also decent, as per the previous year cutoffs , there is less chance of getting a seat if you are of general category and if you belongs to Sc/St  then you can definitely get a seat and for obc also the cut off goes around 140-150, for JJ college of Architecture.

All the best

I have secured 110/200 in NATA and my ISC Board percentage is 92.25 what are the architecture colleges I can get in. Please tell and do IITs and NITs accept NATA scores?

sampritiroy75 30th Aug, 2022

Hello aspirant,

NATA sets 70 marks out of 100 as qualifying. And your marks is pretty high than this. Definately going to better colleges. However, Cutoffs for NATA are calculated a bit differently from others.

Your Higher secondary marks is added to half of the NATA score you secured. That is,

92.25 + (110÷2) = 147.25

NITs and IITs do not provide architectural courses. IIT Roorkee and Kharagpur do provide but no based on NATA score.

Other colleges you can check are mentioned below:

1. Chandigarh College of Architecture.

2. Sir JJ college of Architecture, Mumbai

3.  RV School of architecture.

4. Department of Architecture, BIT Mersa.

5. Rizvi college of Architecture, Mumbai.

And so on.

Hope it was relevant. Good luck.
