Hi,

At this point of time, if you are considering a course at undergraduate level, it is best to consider Computer Science Engineering. The reasons for the same will be that it includes all the aspects related to computers. After pursuing B.Tech in Computer science Engineering, you can opt for all the options you mentioned here. You can go for data science, Artificial intelligence and many other options too as this one course has a lot of potential and is a basic for all the technologies that are currently in use and the ones that will be there in the future too.

I hope this helped you.

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 1st May, 2021

hi,

a triple major r mean three subjects towards one degree or three different subjects towards three different majors or degree. however this is not applicable for you. since you have done b.tech in genetic engineering stream only. the eligibility criteria for m.tech in cse with specialization of artificial intelligence and machine learning is candidates must complete B.E/ B.Tech Degree in any Branch / MCA or any other equivalent degree.

however you should  immediately contact with exam control authority relating the issue at below address.

snigdha vig 1st May, 2021

Hi,

To go for engineering in any field , you will have to study chemistry at least up to class 12th as most of the entrance exams have chemistry as a major part. Along with this, chemistry is mandatory till then. However, your preferred career options are computer science oriented and you would not have to study chemistry for a longer time except for the fact that it is mandatory to study chemistry for a semester in college. For your career options, most appropriate field of engineering you can opt for in Computer Science engineering. It offers a wide range of career options.

I hope this helped you.

I know only small calculations and basics in mathematics can i study cse in artificial intelligence with this quality?

theeanonymous 2nd Feb, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Math is indeed a prerequisite to excel in computer science, but you do not need to be a math expert to learn artificial intelligence. You cannot expect a zero math zone in fields like data science, machine learning ,artificial intelligence etc, so basic math and calculation skill will be a constant need. A basic level knowledge in areas like statistics ,calculus, linear algebra, probability ,differential equations, optimization theory etc will be useful when you start learning advanced skills . Before attending your actual classes, brush up what you already know in all these ,so that it will be easier to catch up with what is going to be taught .This is because in AI creating or writing algorithms will be a basic task and that is where these will be applied. You need not worry much thinking you not strong at math, you can may be take a bridge course before taking up CSE,which will cover a lot of basic concepts. And remember with constant practice, you can overcome anything , so just learn the required math topics , solve sums and be in touch with math on a daily basis, within a year, your level will go up. There are many free resources on the internet that you can use to learn and practice, all you need is a passion towards that field. If you are deeply interested in CSE and artificial intelligence, math should not be a hurdle. Artificial intelligence has got many sub areas under it , explore them all, find the one that suits you, focus on that, this is a high on demand field with great career prospects.
