Hi, Please provide mca(lateral) Previous year cutoff of srm arts and science college, katangulathur

Avinash oza 11th Jul, 2019

Actually, there is no such thing as cutoff there will be ranking everyone can Take CS but the fees will be varying like in my time it was 250000 till 10k rank and then after that, anyone who comes will have to pay 350000.u can message me if u have any doubts. I wouldn't personally recommend you taking CS because the batch strength is in thousands which is not really good. Manipal is good in terms of strength it's very less as in some 250 kids compared 1700 in SRM.

Akash kumar 31st May, 2019

Hey Satyam,

If you are talking about top colleges in Arts then they are generally are the colleges of delhi delhi university. And every year the cut off ofof Del University is very high, so with 78% i don't think you can get any top college but if you are from some category or something you may end up getting decent college. All the best.

In arts it is good if I will take English Hons and economics hons plus sociology you are requested to give me more suggestions.

Nikita Akhuli 31st May, 2019
Hi Nisha
From arts side you have a variety of options to choose from. I would like suggest pursue the subject you are most interested in so after a point of time you should not regret or feel burdened with the subject you are doing. You can hv a major and minor degree at the same time in any two subjects for eg majors in English and minor in sociology/political science or history/philosophy etc.

Just to help you I am providing you a brief description about the subjects you hv mentioned:
If you take up English majors, you will be studying about the history of English literature, different eras and read and learn critical thinking/commentary on the texts by various authors.

In political science majors you will learn different political theory, debates surrounding them, about political philosophers, political systems etc

In  History you learn from ancient history to modern history, different debates and different historians, different perspective of learning and understanding, interpretating history etc.

Sociology is all about society, you learn about societal orders, different theorems, problems in the society etc.

Please check du syllabus for the subjects you wants to pursue on www.du.ac.in
Pursuing a arts subjects has different field specific professions available + the option of civil services and state exams are always open in addition to that.

Choose wisely all the best
