If your rank is 475 then yes you may get a seat in Assam Engineering College. Most of the aspirants having better rank than you will either shift to NITs (if having a good rank in JEE) or in IIITs or GFTIs. Also 475 is not much bad

See ASTU have released the merit list and based on these i am sorry to say you are unable to make it in 1st counseling, you better wait for 2nd counseling if there remain any seats after completion of 1st counseling them you may have chances to get

As per your concern it may get vary during counseling and you belong to general category so there is little chances of getting civil branch in Assam Engineering college (AEC) rather than that you can get instrumental engineering, production and chemical engineering. But you can get civil branch

Yes, you can get a seat in your desired branch but it depends on the number of seat intakes by the college. Last year AEC had 420 seat intakes maybe this year it increases.
