though most of the syllabus for automation and mechanical are same but there a few different subjects like mechanical includes refrigeration and thermal sciences while automation consists of embeded systems, robotics and mechatronics. automation deals with restricting the manual interference in system while mechanical makes the system.

Scope is good for girls and boys as it is a less competitive field because very less number of pupil choose to do robotics in India.
Note:Girls can do anything and everything. So, You shouldn't let your gender decide what you should be and what all you want
Frankly speaking this course had no scope in past or seem to be in near future in India. You will have to wait long to get results in this field. Whereas in abroad there is good scope and shall increase in near future. There are good job options
