IS AUTOMOBILE Engeeneering Better Or Mecanical Engeeneering?

Mayank Chowdhary 24th Aug, 2020

Hello,

Both automobile engineering and mechanical engineering are good fields. What depends is your interest because if you have interest then you can easily excel in your field. Though I would say that automobile engineering is a good choice because now a days there are many changes going on in the automobile industry and if you have good skills then you can easily do a good job there. In automobile industry there are also many top recruiters Bajaj, mahindra, Hinduja etc.

Ultimately you have to choose what you like and all the best to you.

can i get jobs in electronic devices /automobile / aviation companies if i persue electronics and instrumentation engineering

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 23rd Aug, 2020

hi,

see the area you have mentioned in the question like automobile, aviation both of the work has needs for electronics engineer or instrumentation engineer. however there is no surety that the recruitment comes every year in those field. in india there is very less growth in automobiles company or in aviation company. because there is less of manufacturing sector. however there is many company available who makes Integrated chip design, pcb design, software development in where you would get decent paying roles. however before joining any stream you have to think whether the subjects interest you or not, rather than thinking about job roles. however also select college by researching the placement records, students review.

hope you may understand.

what is difference between automobile and mechanical engg

anmol.chopra1212 16th Aug, 2020

Hello

Difference according to career opportunities

You can get job more easily with degree of Mechanical engineer than Automobile engineer. Truth being that every firm prefers mechanical Er. over Automobile Er. Even some automobile companies prefer Mech. Er.

If you are looking for masters in Automobile engineering than this can be good option.

Dear smythvora,

Pursuing desired courses online is possible thanks to the online teaching platforms. You can pursue any course you want to online but it would be better to use a trusted and worthy platform. There are many online websites and apps available in the digital market that offer free as well as paid courses.

The best online apps/websites to pursue your dream course are as follows:

  1. Udemy
  2. Coursera
  3. Skill share
  4. Unacademy

The best choice would be udemy and it would be highly recommended to pursue a paid course because it adds more value and is more worthy. Before joining any course whether for hobby or for a degree make sure to check whether the course provider is renowned and whether the output is worth investing your valuable time and money.

Harshit 31st Jul, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

Firstly you need to ensure you have excellent writing and speaking skills. You also need to have an extremely good knowledge about the automotive industry.

If you want to start off, try applying as an intern to one of the automotive news websites. Most of them are open to hiring paid interns as long as your work is good and you're willing to learn. Build your way up, write news articles daily, be consistent with your work, try to attend events and shoots, build connections with people in the industry and lastly, respect your profession.
