Look, MIT is a government college & that's why the quality is still maintained. MIT college rules are a little more strict when compared to other ones so distractions can be reduced to a considerable level. College timing is also upto around 4:30 PM from 8:30 AM. Lab facilities & other infrastructures are enough offered by the college.

Automotive engineering scopes:

The job opportunity as an Automobile Engineers  is increases due to rapid growth of auto componentcomponents  in automobile sector.

The automotive industry is very diverse,intensely competitive & highly globalized. So many vehicle producers turn out hundreds of models, which change at regular intervals.

My VITEE rank is 23724. Is there any chance that I can get mechanical engineering with Automobile specialisation? I have read the previous cut off trends being around 20k, considering this years pandemic , any chance for me? PLEASE HELP! ....

As per your rank, the colleges you will get admission in VIT Vellore with mechanical engineering.

For mechanical engineering with Automobile specialisation previous year the closing rank is 12400. So, it is somewhat difficult to get this branch with specialization. But you have great chance that you will get mechanical engineering in VIT Vellore.

Hello student automotive engineering is part of vehicle it deals with transport vehicles like car bus truck bikes etc they solve problems troubleshooting.

While automobile engineering is about designing and manufacturing automobile it includes mechanical, electrical, electronic and safety elements.

According to me, if you have a great passion for cars and their engines you should go for Automotive Engineering because:-

  • Mechanical Engineering is an old and a broad branch for study of all types of machines. Its applications are design, analysis, manufacturing and maintenance of mechanical systems.
  • Automobile Engineering is specialisation course for study of all types of automobiles or vehicles. Its applications are vehicle designing, repairing, testing and assembling.
  • Automotive engineering is very much similar to Automobile Engineering. Specifically, this course focuses on engineering of cars. Its applications are mechanical, thermodynamic, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical principles with an aim to resolve engineering problems of cars.
