Yes, you can persue BA Programe or BA in Journalism. But you must specify the name of the university in which you are looking for admission, so than you know the selection procedure of that university or college whether it has entrance exam for its admission or releases

I would like to sadly say that being a general and 2000 rank you should not hope too much. As per the last year cut offs there are less chances. I suggest you to try for other colleges.

According to expected cut off for B.A. in Allahabad University , your admission chances rare . But you must need to wait for 2nd or 3rd round counciling sedule . But admission chances rare in main campus , but in affiliated college chances are 50 - 50 .
