B.A.M.S.
Hii,
BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) admission is done through the NEET exam. After passing NEET, students take part in state or national counselling. For the general category, a good NEET score is needed. Admission is given based on merit and seat availability.
Fees depend on the college:
Government colleges: 20,000 to 50,000 per year
Private colleges: 2 lakh to 3.5 lakh per year
In Kota (Rajasthan), many students prepare for NEET, but BAMS admission happens through counselling, not directly in Kota. Always check official websites for updates.
Hello Diksha,
yes, you can pursue a BAMS degree without NEET in india, but only thriugh selct private colleges under the management quota, Government and most reputed institutions require a valid NEET score for admission. eligibility typically includes 50% marks in 12th-grade PCB subject, with higher fees applicable for direct admissions.
Hello,
With 230 marks in NEET 2025, it is quite difficult to get admission in a government BAMS college , especially if you belong to the general category .
However, if you are from a reserved category (like SC/ST/OBC) , then you might have a slight chance in some states where the cut-off goes low. Even then, chances are still low for top govt colleges .
You can try for private BAMS colleges or deemed universities , where the cut-off is usually lower. Also, keep checking state-wise counselling as some states may have lower cut-offs.
You can also use our NEET College Predictor Tool to predict which college you can get based on your score.
Hope it helps !
