The eligibility criteria is that a candidate must have passed B.Tech Biotechnology or B.Sc Agriculture or B.Sc Biology ( with Botany, Zoology and any other subject) or B.Sc Biotechnology from a recognised board. Is the candidate eligible to seat in the PET, who is going to appear in the final exam of BA (hons) this June ?

pdwords Student Expert 17th May, 2021

Hello,

The official notification of BHU PET isn't released yet for this year, hence I'm answering your question from the last year PET information, candidates can apply for PET in their final year on provisional basis provided they are able to show the proof of their qualifying exam at the time of counselling, failing to do so will not lead to cancellation of their admission however the admission may be done on conditional basis and that is you have to give an undertaking to produce the proof of their qualifying examination within the stipulated time period as prescribed by the authority and also you will be required to show the mark sheet of the previous examination of your graduate degree that you have achieved minimum 50% aggregate, if you fail to do above mentioned two things it will eventually lead to cancellation of the admission and there will be no refund of the paid fee. I hope this helps.

In official website of BHU there is no mention Btech students for MA in Economics course but you have mentioned here is that possible?

pdwords Student Expert 25th Apr, 2021

Hello,

First of all it's expected that from this year onwards BHU too will conduct admission for its various courses through CUCET, as there will be a total of 41 central universities that will be participating from 2021, now official notification regarding this isn't released yet, so we don't have  detailed information for the same, but if we go through last year official notification for PET, it's clearly mentioned that candidates who want to pursue MA Economics should have  studied Economics in all the three years of graduation, and secured an aggregate of 50% which doesn't happen in your case, so you cannot pursue  MA Economics in BHU, you can go through the official notification of PET last year at http://bhuonline.in.s3.amazonaws.com/pdfs20/PET_BULLETIN_2020.pdf
