Banaras Hindu University has an organised and systematic placement cell that is devoted to providing guidance and assistance to students and assisting them in the application and other recruitment processes. The Banaras Hindu University placement cell can be considered to be a serving link between companies and students.

The median package offered during BHU UG placements was around Rs. 7 LPA for the last sessions. 

BHU holds a good record of placement where job offers with a median salary of Rs. 9,50,000 was recorded in the placement in 2021. 

The entrance test which is conducted for BHU admission to postgraduate programmes is the Common University Entrance Test PG (CUET PG) or CUET BHU PG.

There are certain required application documents for the NEET exam to take admission in BHU. The documents are NEET admit card and NEET score card which must be handed over in order to take admission to BHU via the NEET entrance exam. 

Candidates must complete the registration process on the BHU Entrance Test Portal for the online application process. Then, they shall opt for their selected courses. Candidates are advised to do the registration after confirming their eligibility, dates of entrance test, etc. 

Candidates can apply for BHU programmes by qualifying the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) exam. Candidates must first check and meet the eligibility criteria provided for their selected course and then apply for the same in BHU. 

The fess of the BHU entrance exam is different for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The UG application form has a fee of Rs. 200 for general category students and Rs. 100 for SC/ST candidates. On the other hand, the BHU PG entrance exam has a fee of Rs. 600 for single course for the general category candidate. 

The eligibility criteria for different courses of BHU vary with the courses. For example, the candidates willing to get admission in B.A. (Hons.) Arts must have qualified class 10+2 or its equivalent exam with at least 50% aggregate marks. 

BHU offers diploma programme of different duration in various specialisations such as Office Management & Business Communications (Part-Time), Diploma Course in Tourism Management (Part-Time), Diploma Course in Dental Hygienist (Full Time), and so on.
