Well the category will depend on the way you apply. If you apply through central quota, then you would have to be general category student there and if you apply through state quota then you will have to be a OBC category student there.

Well I am not pretty sure about the main campus but you can try for mahila Mahavidyalaya as well as other affiliated colleges. You may have chances to get admission there as compared to main campus. They usually have low cut off than the main campus itself.
