I chose choice 2 and i paid the kea PGCET fees in bank but in challan Im getting the name of college which was allotted to me in first round of PGCET seat allotment what does this mean?

Divya 22nd Jan, 2022

Hello,

In Karnataka PGCET Counselling choice 2 indicates that you are satisfied with the institute allotted to you but wish to participate in subsequent round so as to get seat allotment in a better choice of institute. Candidates selecting the choice 2 must pay the prescribed fee by downloading the challan and download the admission order and report at the allotted institute. The fee that you have paid will be transferred to the institute in which you are allotted seat in the first round hence you can see the name of the institute allotted in first round of the counselling. If a seat is allotted in second round of the counselling the previous seat allotment will gets cancelled automatically and you do not have to pay the fee once again. If no seat is allotted to you then your seat allotted in first round will be retained.

we have got kcet seat cancellation link but its asking the bank details even though we have not paid the fees in other rounds. why? are they asking for money?

Piyush 1st Feb, 2022

Hello aspirant,

I hope that you are doing absolutely great.

With reference to your above mentioned query, I would like to tell you that As per the information given in the official website of KCET - if a candidate fails to report to the college after allotment of seats in the Second Extended Round of the counselling, legal action will be initiated against such candidate in accordance with law.

Further, I would like to tell you that - after the second extended seat allotment a candidate cannot exercise any choice.

So, you cannot cancel the seat allotted in the second extended round. You need to get admission in the allotted institute by paying the prescribed fee and report at the allotted institute.

Further, for more complete details follow the below link :

I hope that this will help.
