For pursuing a career in banking there can be various routes:

  • You cannot pursue banking right after completing class 12th. You need to complete an undergraduate degree to meet the eligibility criteria.
  • Choosing the right degree is very important. You need to complete a graduate degree. Commerce (preferably)/ Humanities/ Science.

In India, the most commonly known exams are conducted by two famous recruitment bodies like the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) and State Bank of India (SBI).

Is banking a hectic job for pcm students?

pdwords Student Expert 9th Mar, 2021

Hello,

Banking is definitely a hectic job irrespective of the stream you belong to or subject combinations for that matter, if you're specifically asking for SBI or IBPS then it doesn't have any particular criteria of belonging to any stream when it comes to being eligibility criteria for Clerk/Office Assistant or Probationary Officer post, the job requires dealing with customers on daily basis, and most banking jobs do demand this, as it forms the core part of their duty, unlike say in case of RBI Grade B Officer which has different role and responsibilities and it doesn't involve interaction with customers on daily basis, it's also one of the most reputed post in banking sector, and the pay scale is also quite handsome.
