When you have to compare two colleges and have to arrive at a conclusion then you have to choose some of the parameters. This parameters can be a distinct number of events but to conclude this answer I am choosing some of the most important parameters like:
If you consider this parameters then I would say GIATP will be better for you to pursue BARCH. GIATP have very good infrastructure and it has implementational lab works in its curriculum. The curriculum is also well designed. The faculties are very well qualified and most of the faculties are specialized in the fields of Urban Planning and Conservation Architecture. Thus if you are interested in this fields then you will find great guidance from the teachers. Most of all the practicallity in the coursework is well maintained and placements are moderately good with good packages in different architectural houses. So I would say GIATP will be a better place to study.

Hello Aspirant,
Since you have not mentioned your category so considering it as general.
Now with General category it is very hard to get into any government college for Architecture or planning course because 61 percentile is very low percentile and seats generally get filled up by 90-92 percentile as there are very few colleges in India that offer Architecture and Planning related courses.
So I would recommend you to prepare for further attempts of JEE-Main and to help you in your preparation we have some resources which you can access from the link given below :-

You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main Architecture College Predictor:-

I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!

All the best !
Dear student,
You can go for any of the two exams and after qualifying you can get a college and pursue this course but there are few differences between these two examinations you should be aware of.
See, by giving JEE Main paper 2 you can get the reputed institutes NITs and GFTIs but it comes with the cost of slightly being more competitive than NATA exam. And JEE Main is known for its difficulty then you can easily expect that in this aspect too, JEE Main Paper will be on little tougher side than NATA paper.
You can get to pursue B.Arch course in the NITs like NIT Calicult, NIT Hamirpur, NIT Jaipur, NIT Nagpur etc, whereas by NATA you can get reputed collges like Jadavpur University, Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation University, Guntur, MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore, SRM University Chennai etc.
So now, I hope you can make the wise decision.
