The cut off depends upon category as well. 27,000 is not enough for getting admission in NIT if you are General category student. If you are OBC/SC/ST category student, you have high chances for getting admission in NIT.

See your rank is just at the border line or cutoff edge. With this rank you can either get a NIT or also not get it. But the chances are really low for a NIT.
