    Your IPU CET rank 7891 for B.Com Hons is not great comparatively,  but still your are eligible to get admission in IPU. Few colleges under IPU offers admission under rank 8000 such as

    You can opt for bcom or ba, the only thing is that you will face a deduction of 1-5% depending upon the College. The best four score is considered in du for admission.

    Admission in Panjab University, Chandigarh for tge course of BA/BCOM LLB is done on the basis of both your result in 12th boards and entrance exam. 50% weightage is given to both the scores.
    So as your boards percentage as well as your entrance exam's score both matter equally.
