If you see previous year placement record then the retail companies did the major recruitment, nearly 39% followed by Fashion brands(20%). The rest goes to Designers / Design houses (19%), export houses / buying houses and agencies (16%).

NIFT, Delhi is one of the best fashion institutes in India. The fee structure is quite expensive in the college since the fees get increased every year by almost 10%. It requires approx 2.8 Lacs to complete a year. Along with this, accommodation and canteen fees, daily chores related to different subjects incur many extra expenses. There are often scholarships available from the college as well as from government.

For B.Des, there's various factors that one needs to consider.
As for Faculty, both universities are well known to have highly student oriented faculty services. Few students have complaints about faculties when it comes to these universities.
For fee structures, depending on the course you opt for, the fees differ. However, common consensus would suggest they're both in the same ball park as far as fees are concerned.
As far as infrastructure is concerned, both of these universities fare well in this department, too. They're well equipped with facilities that students would require including libraries, labs and such.
So in conclusion, both of these universities are great. However, more students tend to prefer Nirma University over UPES dehradun.

B.Des in fashion designing at ITM Institute of Design and media, Nerul, Mumbai is a 4 years full time undergraduate degree course. The application cost is of rupees thousand. Eligible candidates need to appear for the design Aptitude Test conducted by the ITM Institute.
The total fees of the course is somewhere between 10 to 11 lacs.
