Do we need a portfolio for the NIFT B.Des programme?

Hi Himadri, There is no GD or PI. On the basis of result of written test GAT and CAT, shortlisted B.Des candidates will be called for second test called Situation Test. It is expected to be conducted in April and May in which they will be tested practically by assigning

Every year, nearly 22,000 aspirants appear for the entrance exam for undergraduate admissions. Out of these, around 7,700 candidates are able to crack it. Nearly 2,400 seats are allotted to the candidates on merit basis. 

 

Last year, candidate having a rank of 4861 got admission at NIFT Kangra.

Yes, you can get good private colleges if you have not qualified for JEE Main.

You can get good private college in states like: Haryana, UP, West Bengal, Punjab, Rajasthan, Maharashtra. Most of the states have reservation for other state students in private colleges based on JEE Main score/rank. You
