sir, I have scored 271 marks in neet 2020. Can I get seat for BDS. I belong to obc category.

ABHIK SHAW 24th Oct, 2020

Hello,

Generally the BDS cutoffs are lower than that of the MBSS cutoffs. Based upon the marks that you have scored, for BDS you have chances for private dental colleges. Getting a government college seat will be quite tough for Maharashtra domicile.

Will there be a difference afterwards if I pursue BDS from Private College?

Tanaya Giri 24th Oct, 2020

Whether you do BDS from government or private clg the scope is same. You can do post graduation and be professor or open your clinic.

Government college advantages are, you will get paid internships and most of the patients to take care of.

You can always do MDS after BDS

According to my rank, Ive got to choose among BDS or BAMS. Which should I look forward to? And which is better (in terms of scope and future prospects)?

Shibili 24th Oct, 2020

BAMS is ayurvedic medicine. If you are really interested in learning ayurveda, you should definitely go up. This course covers wide area. The job opportunity after ayurveda is not limited. But more people prefer allopathy than ayurveda. So you should really find a niche to prosper in this field.

Unfortunately no, Farah. Your NEET score is valid for 1 year if you want to study MBBS/BDS/Ayush/B.V.Sc in India. But if you want to study MBBS/BDS abroad, your NEET score is valid for 3 years and this rule has come into force from 2019. And so with your 2018 NEET
