General Category: 539
OBC: 527
SC: 495
ST: 391
This is 2018 data. This year the cut offs have gone way higher like more than 60-80 marks

Yes it is good idea. Masters will always open new doors. Infact you can also take CAT exam after your BDS. IIMs cutoff is low for students are not from Engineering background. You have a medical background so life becomes much easier to get into IIMs.
