As per my information ,for pursuing b.tech in a particular branch and in a particular college,you have to give their entrance exams or there are many colleges which take admission through jee main ranks.To be eligible for entrance exams you must have passed 12th board from a recognised board

There are very less chances for government colleges. But you can definetely apply for good private colleges like LNMIT JAIPUR, THAPAR UNIVERSITY, AMITY UNIVERSITY NOIDA, SRM CHENNNAI, etc. 

They are fine colleges though their fees are high but they offer good facilities and oppurtunities for your growth.
