I would say no. In b tech there is no placement of this university but yes academic is good no doubt. But the truth of this b tech course is if u won't get a job after graduating 4 years then what's the use.

most of the students from computer science and electronics get placed. more than half students of electrical and mechanical also get placed. there is less hope of placement in chamical and petrochemical branch. average package remins 6 lpa and highest nearly 15 lpa.

Please specify the exam you wrote.
Different colleges have different no. Of seats. So a rank that can get you a seat at an IIT in the IITJEE, may not fetch you one in say BHU UET.
Moreover, please specify if you have quota, that will help you
