But placements wise it’s a good university with average package of 2-3lakhs per annum for CSE branch and highest going to 6-8lakhs per annum in earlier years.

Based on these statistics you will get CSE in lower NITs. I'll suggest you to seek CSE branch in your Home State NIT first.

Since you are asking for IET, DAVV, I must tell you that YES, there is a method called CLC i.e. College Level Counseling through which you can get admission without qualifying JEE Mains.
CLC takes place for vacant seats in which admission is based on marks of qualifying

First of all please mention the course you are thinking to opt for taking admission in AMU.
But then also you must score atleast (60-70)% in order be on safer side for taking admission in AMU.
