IT is good but you need to perform as well if you will not have any enough marks you wont be eligible for the placement also. you should try chandigarh university instead as it is better than cgc in all terms.

Now a days, most of the laptops do not have a dvd drive. The reson for this is now people hardly use dvd's especially in colleges. In B.Tech colleges people mostly use pendrive, hard drives. So a laptop not having a dvd drive should not be an issue
