there is one scholarship form for all b.tech student. you can fill and apply that on http://scholarship.up.nic.in/

N orth South Foundation (NSF) provides scholarships to undergraduate students entering into engineering, medicine or 3-year polytechnic (diploma in engineering.) based on merit and financial need.

The eligibility criteria is as :

* You are in  top 10% in 10th and 12th and CET/JET ranks in your state.

Congrats on completing 12 one more step and you can land into any college offering B tech. 

For getting admission into btech you need to answer a entrance test after 12 std in science. In entrance test you need to get good rank. 

Their are several  types of

• VIT University IGNITE Scholarship.
• Larsen and Toubro (L&T) Built-India Scholarship.
• OP Jindal Engineer and Management Scholarship (OP JEMS)
• North South Foundation Scholarship.
• Nationwide Education and Scholarship Test (NEST )

There is a provision for that, not so sure. Better check the university website for further details but you get lateral entry only after the first year, i.e second year onwards.

I don’t know of lateral entry (diploma-based) into the main B.Tech courses (those weigh heavily on entrance exam), but I have heard of people who study part-time in ‘evening college’ within VIT.
