Bim Trichy vs Ifmr in terms of quality of education and ROI?

Rashmi 24th Apr, 2018

IFMR is one of the leading B School in south India in terms of industry connect, quality of education and corporate mentors.

IFMR is located in the industry hub of south India. Decent placement. more than 90% student of the current batch is already placed in different sectors and no idea about BIM Placement.

How good would you rank MBA from IIIT Allahabad? Being with a very less tuition fee, is it on par with institutes like BIM, TAPMI & KJ SIMSR

Akshay Kadam 22nd Mar, 2018

IIIT Allahabad is a low average college offers a 2 year MBA degree for a total fee of Rs. 2.72 lakhs. According to last year, placement reports only 55% of the students were placed on campus with an average package of Rs. 4.32 lakhs per annum and the minimum package of 3.6 lakhs.

KJSIMSR: 100% placement, fees - Rs. 11.99 lakhs, Avg. Package - Rs. 9.19 lakhs per annum

TAPMI: 100% placement, fees - Rs. 13 lakhs, Avg Package - Rs. 10.06 lakhs per annum, Maximum - Rs. 19. 4 lakhs per annum

BIM: 100% placement, Fees - Rs, 6.97 lakhs, Avg, Package - Rs. 6 lakhs per annum, maximum - Rs. 14 lakhs per annum

I will highly recommend you to go for TAPMI then KJSIMSR then BIM and the IIIT Allahabad because the fee is only one time investment and if you initially start your job after MBA then your growth rate will be very high, you can cover up your fees in 2-3 years and then lifetime you will grow 10 times faster than the one starting initial job with less package.

And you can see there is not even any surity that you will get on-campus placed in IIIT Allahabad. It's the worst choice wrt options you have.

Feel free to ask if you have any more queries. All the best!!

I have obtained 84.23%ile in CAT 2017. Can I be shorted in any of the colleges like TAPMI, BIM Trichy, LIBA, FORE School of Management?

Guarav Singh 9th Jan, 2018

You may try for PGDM - IB at FORE, for sure. Last year cut off has been 85 for PGDM and 78 for PGDM IB at FORE. LIBA isnt worth trying for (Cut off was 80) as the no. of seats for general is limited due to reservations. BIM Trichy cut off was 80 but better option is IFMR instead of BIM Trichy or LIBA.

What is the least CutOff CAT for BIM Trichy and what type of profile expected from Applicant ?

Anonymous 27th Sep, 2017

Least cutoff you should aim (above) is 85 percentile. There are some other factors too which gives you a weight age along with your CAT overall score like your academic records, work experience, your extra curricular activities & your overall profile.

Profile means your participation in extra curicular activities, your awards/certifications if any, your particpations, your initiatives, organising events etc. Skills and interests you have and all of these.

So the more of it the more chances they take you.

Hope this helps.
